Group Bookies: BMC Crisis Stabilization Services in Brockton is looking for incoming commitments. The unit is located at the Meadowbrook Complex, 10 Meadowbrook Road, Unit 10C, Brockton. Parking is available. We've instituted a new scheduling system to sign up by clicking on any "OPEN" dates in April, May or June in the calendars below. BMC particularly needs groups on Thursday due to a standing commitment that backed out. We're not asking for standing commitments, if you can take only one commitment, it will help carry AA's message to someone in a treatment setting. If you want to book a standing monthly commitment, indicate that in the field below your email with the other info you provide. Hit "Submit" to send your request. The meeting was opened at 7:30 PM EST by the Area 30 Chair. In accordance with the agenda, the meeting began with a Moment of Silence and the Responsibility Statement:
“I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.”
Due to time constraints, no readings or anniversaries were held, and the meeting proceeded directly to Roll Call.

A. Treasurer’s Report
The checking account has been reconciled through January 2025.
The transition from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online has been completed, reducing costs and allowing better collaboration between the Treasurer and Alternate Treasurer.
Area 30 is exploring the use of Expensify to streamline expense tracking and integrate it with QuickBooks.
The operating reserve for 2025 is set at $5,500 to ensure timely reimbursement for committee chairs and officers.
Efforts are underway to implement digital payment processing via QuickBooks Payments to save on transaction fees and improve efficiency.
The Finance Committee will meet in March to discuss an April Assembly funding request.
The Finance Ad-Hoc Committee has been initiated and will report progress at the next assembly.
Members were reminded to submit Q1 expenses by the end of March.
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report was made and carried with 18 votes in favor (12 online), zero opposed, motion passed unanimously. Total votes: 30.

B. Secretary’s Report
The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed, with one minor correction noted.
A motion to approve the minutes was made and carried with 18 votes in favor (12 online), zero opposed, motion passed unanimously. Total votes: 30.
Meeting Structure Changes:
Adjustments were made based on feedback from the last panel and an ad hoc committee review.
The meeting structure was streamlined to be more time-efficient.
Reports are now limited to two minutes to respect attendees' time.
If a report exceeds the limit, it will be paused and can be revisited later if needed.
Area Updates:
The recent assembly was successful.
Banking issues were addressed and resolved.
The alternate chair position is now vacant; an election will be held at the April assembly.
Those interested in running for the position are encouraged to reach out for more information.
Communication & Website Updates:
Members who are not receiving emails, especially GCMs, should check in after the meeting to ensure they are on the confidential list.
The website calendar is still being improved; adjustments are ongoing to resolve delays between the Google Calendar and the website.
The web chair will temporarily manage the calendar for better workflow.
Members can submit calendar updates to the web chair or the area chair via email.
Closing Report Statement:
The chair welcomed members to the new meeting structure and encouraged questions.
The delegate was in attendance but occupied with a meeting, so the alternate delegate read their report.
Gratitude & Acknowledgment: Appreciation was expressed for the hard work in keeping Area 30 active and engaged.
General Service Conference: The final agenda for the 75th General Service Conference (April 25 - May 3) is now available in both Spanish and English on the website.
Pamphlet Development: GSO is seeking an appointed committee member from the Asian-American AA community to help create a new pamphlet.
CPC Outreach: GSO is gathering shared experiences from committees working with neurodivergent alcoholics and homeless/unhoused individuals. Feedback can be sent to CPC.AA.org.
Anonymity Concern: A recent anonymity breach occurred where a press photo included an AA member’s name. A reminder letter was sent to both the press and the member.
District Recognitions: Special thanks to Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 18, 19, and 25 for their outreach efforts.
Upcoming Events & Discussions:
Presentations and discussions on agenda items will take place in March.
Open discussion sessions about the General Service Conference agenda will be held on March 17, 24, and 31. These will be listed on the calendar.
A SurveyMonkey tool will be used to collect input.
Pre-Conference Assembly: April 6 at North Andover Mass Senior Center (hybrid format).

Russell, past DCM for District 3, was nominated for Alternate PI Chair.
Russell was unable to attend the meeting due to vacation but has been active in PI efforts.

International Convention in Vancouver (July 2025)
Northeast Region will host a hospitality suite at the Fairmont Vancouver.
Volunteers needed to help in the hospitality suite; sign-ups are open.
Time slots for volunteering are being coordinated, with more details to come.
District Mergers & Redistricting Discussion
District 14 raised the possibility of merging due to low participation.
Districts 12 & 13 inquired about District 14’s location.
Districts 15 & 16 currently do not have a DCM and may also benefit from redistricting.
District 10 suggested splitting their area of 10 towns into two groups of 5.

Distrtict 8 Highlights
EACYPAA: The Eastern Area Conference of Young People in AA will be held February 13-16, 2025, at the Park Plaza Hotel. Pre-registration is $40, and unused registrations will be offered as scholarships for newcomers. The committee is also hosting a New Year's Eve dance in East Boston.
MSCYPAA: The next Massachusetts State Conference of Young People in AA will be held August 17-19, 2025, in Springfield.
NECYPAA: The New England Conference of Young People in AA (NECYPAA) will be held in Burlington, Vermont. Registration is available at necypaa34.org. The event is not expected to return to Eastern Massachusetts for an extended period, so members are encouraged to take advantage of this year's conference.
A concepts workshop is being planned for early 2025, focusing on AA’s 12 Concepts for World Service. The workshop will seek speakers to present on specific concepts, and interested members were encouraged to participate.
District representatives shared updates on ongoing events, service opportunities, and participation in Alcathons across the districts:
Districts 1 & 2: No report.
District 3: Held a successful Thanksgiving Alcathon with a catered format and plans a 24-hour Christmas Alcathon from December 24-25. Meeting structure and rotation schedules are being updated.
District 5: No report.
District 6: The district held a Thanksgiving Alcathon and is preparing a Christmas Alcathon at 900 Main Street, Brockton, starting Christmas Eve at 6 PM.
District 7: No report.
District 8: The district had 20 attendees at their last meeting (13 in person, 7 online). They are finalizing Christmas and New Year’s Alcathons and planning more roadshows.
District 9: The district has gone dark, but efforts are underway to revive it. Interested members are encouraged to attend district meetings or reach out for support.
District 10: No report.
District 11: Recently restarted meetings after being dark for a few years. They are planning a women’s meeting in March or April and continue to host Alcathons.
Districts 12 & 13: The December 10 meeting had 12 attendees. The district has no one standing for key positions in the upcoming rotation and is considering merging with another district due to low participation.
District 14: Meets online on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. Participation is low, and merging with another district is being considered.
Districts 15 & 16: The districts faced challenges in November when no one stood for positions, but Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary positions were filled in December. The DCM position remains open.
Districts 18 & 19: The December 9 meeting had 36 attendees. Their billboard campaign at North Shore Mall will run through December with the message, “Having trouble with alcohol?” They are planning a GSR appreciation lunch and old-timers meeting in early 2025.
District 20: Held a Christmas Alcathon at 92 Maranat Street, April, MA, from 8 PM Christmas Eve to 8 PM Christmas Day.
District 21: Hosted a pizza party to increase GSR participation, resulting in a boost in attendance at recent meetings. Their Christmas Alcathon at the Bridge Club in Lowell will run from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, with all 18 meeting slots filled.
District 23: The district is thriving, with strong attendance at recent meetings. They are hosting a Christmas Eve Alcathon and supporting the upcoming Area Assembly. They surpassed pre-COVID contribution levels in 2024, making this their strongest financial year since 2019.
District 26: The December 5 meeting had 30 attendees. They held a successful Thanksgiving Alcathon and will host a Christmas Alcathon from noon on Christmas Eve through 9 PM on Christmas Day. They recently filled 27 out of 32 standing committee positions.
District 27 (Spanish District): The December 11 meeting had 20 attendees. They are focusing on increasing participation through food and fellowship. The district is hosting a Christmas holiday basket event on December 22 and working on event packages for group anniversaries and public events.

MINUTES: CENTRAL SERVICE COMMITTEE DELEGATES MEETING
JULY 19, 2023
The meeting was opened at 7:00 pm by Chair, Ellen D., followed by the Preamble, Origin and Purpose and12 Traditions.
On a roll call there were 22 present including 9 Delegates, 10 members of the Steering Committee, the Area 30Delegate and 2 members of the staff.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Report was accepted. The Treasurer readthe financial report for June, 2-0.23.-Repmtaccep.t.

• The 20238 Meeting list is ready for printing and will soon be made available. Pricing will stay at $1 each. Thecolor has not yet been decided.
• A "Hybid" code will be added to the 2024A meeting list. The code will be a camera emoji.

Eastern Mass. Area Committee: Area 30 Delegate Suzanne S. gave a report. Suzanne explained the any proposed agenda item for the 74th General Service Conference must be submitted to the Area in writing nolater than September 15, 2023.

• -.'.fhe rn was a question-rngarding the 2025 lnternational Conference being held in Vancouver, British Columbia. There is concern as new Canadian law considers past OUI convictions as a felony which could impact someone from being able to attend. • Getting better involved with 9th Tradition service work will be discussed at next month's meeting.
